What is Organic Spearmint Essential Oil?

Organic spearmint essential oil is extracted through steam distillation from the spearmint plant. The oil is clear to pale yellow in colour and it has a fresh, minty aroma that is much sweeter and milder than peppermint essential oil.

The spearmint plant (Mentha spicata) is a perennial herb that originates from Europe and Asia.

Organic spearmint essential oil is certified organic by the soil association. We are inspected annually to make sure we comply with their strict regulations.

Spearmint essential oil has a fresh aroma and it is used as a top note in essential oil blends. It can be blended with other essential oils like lavender, roman chamomile, eucalyptus, rosemary, sweet orange and peppermint essential oil.

How to Store Your Essential Oils

Spearmint organic essential oil should be stored in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight to ensure the oil does not degrade over time. Make sure to store the natural essential oil out of reach of children.

Spearmint essential oil is for external use only. Make sure to keep out of reach of children as this is not a food grade product.

Avoid contact with the skin directly as spearmint essential oil is 100% pure and it may cause irritation and skin sensitivity. You must dilute the essential oil in a carrier oil before applying it to the skin.

Like all essential oils, we suggest doing a small patch test with the oil. This is to make sure there are no sensitive areas on the skin and to avoid an allergic reaction. Organic grapefruit oil needs to be blended with a carrier oil before applying to the skin.
